Academic Advising Days and Hours

Date Posted: November 2, 2009
Walk-ins are only on Tuesdays. I think the advising department would work better if they allowed walk-ins on more days other than Tuesday, or allowed upperclassman and/or graduate students to work with lowerclassman students in the advising departments when the academic advisors were booked, closed, or too busy.

This would help the academic advisors' schedules to work with the students' schedules better and vice versa.

I feel walk-ins should be on a day like Mon., Wed., or Fri. And that the advisors should not enjoy telling us that we should lower expectations on our academic situations or when they tell us all the classes are full on the first week when they are not.

We pay $5000 / semester in tuition and we cant speak to someone on demand about what courses we should spend our next $5000? Walk-in advising, everyday. Limit the hours from 11-3. People who walk-in and cant get help have to make an appointment for another time.
