During the 2019-20 Wayne State Student Senate summer term, Student Senate allocated $6,200 in funding to establish the Student Printing Stipend Pilot Program for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 academic years. The Student Printing Stipend Pilot Program allows for the purchase of 1,000 Guest One Cards (Warrior Print Passes), each preloaded with $5 in One Card Dollars for students to utilize as printing stipends when printing course materials from the on-campus public printers. Student Senate will assess the feasibility of the pilot program throughout the duration of the 2019-20 and 2020-21 academic years in order to determine its success and to glean valuable feedback from students who benefit from the pilot program. The Student Senate will also utilize the data produced from the pilot program to work to advance initiatives that reduce the financial burden of printing for all students going forward.
